utecture a finalist in this year's Proptech Awards!

"utecture is delighted to be a 2022 Proptech Awards finalist," announced Gav Tonnett, utecture's CEO.

"We made it into the awards' Start Up category - Design, Build and Develop. This is a tremendous vote of industry confidence in our first-of-a-kind cloudbased platform which is revolutionising residential and office construction."

Now in their second year, the PropTech Awards are Australia's only nationally coordinated awards for its rapidly escalating property technology sector. Hosted by PropTech Association of Australia and sponsored by Ashurst Lawyers, the awards recognise innovators driving change across Australia’s real estate, property and construction sectors.

Entries were scored by a panel of more than 40 judges with expertise in property, finance, law, sales & marketing, technology, sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Since inception, utecture has been pioneering ways to model and integrate eco-friendly tech and building products into every step of pre-construction.

Pioneering a whole new category for the building sector: Virtual Pre-Construction

Visualisation and quotation is traditionally a “black box” activity in which potential homeowners and clients are deprived of the ability to confidently participate in the design and pricing process. Tonnet comments, "The digital user experience which clients are accustomed to in other areas of their lives is missing, and this does a disservice to builders and buyers alike by adding unnecessary costs and hurdles and depriving the client of the joy and agency that should be theirs."

Because the pre-construction phase of building projects is increasingly complex, utecture solves the problem by aggregating every data point of a project plan into a digital twin model that displays all the relevant information in real time.

The platform's end-to-end system permits quantity surveyors to provide real-time data (measurements and price designs) but successfully "joins up" traditional silos between architects, surveyors and builders, saving up to 60% of time and cost.

In times when housing is increasingly unaffordable, solutions like utecture's pave the way towards vastly improved efficiencies and ROI. Says Tonnet, "utecture's cloud-powered platform is a consumer-friendly tool that allows users to visualise and price a home with unprecedented speed, accuracy and satisfaction".

The awards will be announced on June 8 at Darling Harbour's Dockside events space.
